Up for sale, I have a 1992 Subaru SVX. I purchased the car about four years ago, with the intention of fixing it up. The VIN plate states it was manufactured in May 1991, and was the 1670th car to ever roll off the assembly line for the US market. I bought the car because the engine and transmission are very mechanically sound. It has always had oil changes every 3000 miles, and the transmission was rebuilt by Subaru about 30,000 ago. All this repair work was completed at local Subaru dealerships. Partial records are available at the time to purchase. The rest can be looked up at the dealer. The Interior has some typical cracks/rips in the bolster, and the AC needs a retrofit/recharge. The Good: In order to get the car ready to register, I did the following work AC Belt and idler pulley bearing New serpentine belt 4 new Yokohama directional tires New brake pads and shoes all the way around New battery New rear wheel bearings New Windshield Touched up exhaust seamsThe Bad: About four months ago, my younger brother borrowed my car, and someone hit him in a rental. The front of their vehicle drove into the front left side of the SVX. The airbag DID NOT go off. The damage is mostly cosmetic. The accident was reported to the DMV, yet THE CAR STILL HAS A CLEAN TITLE. The following wil need to be repaired/replaced: Hood Front Left Quarter panel LT Headlight LT Marker light LT Air Bag Sensor Bumper cover and assembly Any other invisible/unseeen damages. That said, the car still runs and drives well. I took it for a drive around the block the other day, and it still drives true. It could a new set of engine/transmission mounts and a set of shocks as well as the aforementioned items. I would like to keep the car and fix it up on my own, but I do not have the time or funding as I am in school full time and have just had knee surgery. This would be a great project/fixer uper car that still turns heads! This vehicle is being sold as-is with no warranties expressed or implied. The car will be available for sale/preview locally as well, so I retain my right to end the auction early. Good Luck and Happy Bidding!
