I'm really testing the waters to see what I can get for my car. If I can't get what I am looking for I will just keep it. I love this car and the only reason I am considering selling it is that I have a growing daughter and need a bit more room.
The car runs great and I have had zero problems with it. Put a good set of mud/snow tires on it and it will go almost anywhere a suv can go.
Summer sport tires and it handles amazingly well for a 16 year old car.
It has very low mileage for it's age as well (103,XXX). The mileage will be slightly higher as I still drive the car daily. I bought it off a retired postal worker who drove it to and from the golf course. He then let it sit for about six years. I live in California and I bought the car in New Hampshire. I drove it home 3,300 miles in January without a problem, and I would not hesitate to do so again.
The car comes with its original window sticker, and some interesting literature about the development. The original owner put a light tint on the windows which is still in good shape, no bubbles. The optional transmission fluid cooler has been put on and the transmission shifts flawlessly.
I have installed a custom exhaust (not too loud or obnoxious at all) along with custom exhaust tips (see pictures). It has cross drilled rotors on all four corners aw well as ceramic brake pads and stainless steel braided brake lines. I put in an ECU stage one computer chip which allows it to run on regular gasoline instead of premium and with today’s gas prices this is a plus. It has a Green high flow reusable air filter, new fuel filter, spark plugs, and I have a can of AC recharge fluid. The AC still blows cold, but it's due for a change pretty soon.
This car is 16 years old and not perfect. It has some minor scrapes on the front end and a few rock chips here and there. The ABS needs a new fuse or something, I'm not sure what’s wrong with it, the light on the dash is lit. The rear ashtray door has been knocked off by my daughter kicking it while in her car seat. The trunk latch by the drivers seat does not open the trunk, I don't know why, I just use the key. It is also in need of a driver side front axle.
