For auction here is a Rare 1988 Hardtop Samurai with the JX option package. Even rarer that it is not rusted due to a lifetime of garaged storage and only 70k original one owner miles. I bought this from the original owner 2 years ago when I got into a offroad/4WD phase. I paid $6500 for this truck and I hardly use it. It runs and drives flawlessly. The exhaust, Weber performance carburetor, clutch, and tires were replaced by its original owner only months before I purchased it. It has an aftermarket tubular front bumper and a rear trailer hitch.
The interior is excellent with no tears in the upholstery and a full factory carpet. The dash is not cracked and the door panels are just as nice.
There are no notable issues with body or paint and it shines well with no fading. There is one tiny paint bubble at the bottom of both doors. Aside from that no rust anywhere. It appears to be the original factory paint and still has the local Suzuki dealer id tag on the rear door. I would like to point out that the fuel, and temp gauge seem to have stopped working as well as the horn. I’m guessing it’s likely a fuse since they all stopped working at the same time. This truck will come with its original carburetor, spare wheel tire cover, Original air cleaner, one of those starter solenoid upgrade kits(new in box), and a few other things in a box that I forgot. The battery is brand new too.
In short if you’re looking for an unmolested, original, low mileage, rust free hardtop Samurai don’t miss this one. See the pictures and judge for yourself. I don’t think there are many nicer ones left. Fuel economy on these trucks is said to be 30+ mpg.
