up for sale is my 1982 toyota corolla 1.8 with 54,000 original miles. i have owned this car for the last 2 years and it has treated me very good. this car has been my daily driver and is by far the most realiable car i have ever owned. i want to keep it for that reason, two cars is more i more than i need. i baught this from ebay a little over 2 years ago. the auction was only on less than 24hrs before i made an offer. it was a one owner and it was in ohio, the guy died and it was in storage for like 10 years. the guys son had it and did some basic stuff to get it back running and drove it around here and there. he decided to get rid of it. i took a greyhound down to ohio a drove it back with out a problem. i baught it with 40,000 original miles and put almost 15,000 miles on it since then. it has been my daily driver and has never once broke down or seen a tow truck. i did regular oil changes and maintinence. if you are not familiar with these cars they are super cheap to fix, parts are plentiful and cheap. there are no fancy computer or gadgets. all you need is gas and oil and you are good. the old commercials on these cars said they could go over 400,000 miles. even in the coldest of chicago of days when it was below zero for literaly 3 weeks in a row it started and got me to work everytime without fail. when i got stuck in the snow i simply got out and pushed it myself without help. WHAT HAVE I DONE TO THE CAR? -brakes. pads, shoes, rotors. there are no issues with the brakes. the car brakes perfectly. -brand new headliner. the old one was falling, so a new one was done. -shocks and struts front and back by monroe were done very recently. your good for another 50,000 miles. the springs were looked at and looked great. -mufler and cadalitic converter. -alpine radio with ipod adapter and alpine 6x9s. the radio is very nice and cost me like $300. that cord that u see hanging in the car plugs right into your ipod and plays through the stereo. -complete tune up. plugs, wires, air filters (k&n), fuel filter, oxygen sensor. the works KNOW ISSUES WITH THE CAR? -one missing floor mat. -even though the muffler new, there is a tiny hole in the weld where the pipes connect. its not really much of an issue. not that noticable to me. - the carb needs to be ajusted. im getting about 18mpg in the city, but when i baught it a couple years ago i was getting over 25mpg. the car is tuned up but the carb needs to be ajusted is what my mechanic at high tech auto in chicago told me. i took off my plates and unregistered the car so i can't take it in. WHO IS THIS CAR FOR? anyone really. daily drivers, first time drivers, students, or even someone who wants to work on the body and bring the body back to life. as you can see by the photos the interior it is very clean and in very nice shape. everyone who gets in the car for the first time always says how nice the interior is. never had a problem getting a part. they are at all the local autoparts stoes and righ here on ebay. go to ebay stores and type in 82 corolla. over 200 item usualy pop up. and that does not include ebay auctions either! PAYMENT cash in hand. hopefully you are not gonna ship this car although i will help with that.. picking it up would be better because shipping cars can cost 500-1500 depending on where you live. my city is chicago il and my zip code is 60641. so please fing about shipping before you win the car. i drove this car from ohio and i would honestly drive this car anywhere in the country without and worries. thats just me, because i have owned this car for 2 years and know what has been done to it. please no deadbeat bidders. ask all questions before bidding please read the whole decription. i doubt i will be ending the auction early unless i sell it localy as well on craigslist. ORIGINAL STEERING WHEEL AND RADIO ARE INCLUDED. TITLE IS ON HAND.
