You are bidding on a very rare car, a 1987 Toyota Cressida luxury sedan. The car is being sold as is!!!!! I've owned this car for one year now and it has been nothing but great to me. Unfortunately I must sell it because I live in a resort area and probably wont have a job for a while. There are a few things you should know about the car before bidding. First, the runs and drives fantastic. It has no leaks that I've seen, the coolant and transmission fluid have been flushed recently. The alignment is great, it tracks a straight line down the road always. The car was bought with only 85,000 miles on it. The previous owner was a little old lady who kept it in a garage since it was new. Driving it only on weekends. I did the math, she drove it less than 3000 miles a year for 20 years!!! She also kept every receipt from all the work she ever had done to the car. I was able to view these; however, for privacy reasons the dealership could not pass them along with the vehicle. I can tell you that she took very good care for the car and so have I. Second, as with any used vehicle there are some concerns. Since the day I purchased the vehicle it has been a little testy to start in cold weather if the engine is cold. I planned to replace the cold start valve, a 120$ part that frequently has issues in older Toyotas, when the vehicle failed to start. But til this day it has started every time, so I have not worried about it. Another thing that has not worked since I purchased the car is the A/C. The compressor clutch never kicked on at all, leading me to believe it to be the cause of loose wiring, or a bad switch. Since I never owned a car with A/C this really didn't bother me, especially since this car has a fully operational sunroof and the rear windows roll down all the way level with the door. The last mechanical concern I have, and the first you should address if you purchase the vehicle, is that it is due for new brakes soon. I will NOT replace the brakes for you, as I told you before I'm selling as is. The vehicle is my daily driver, I drive my 10 month year old daughter in this car. It will stop just fine, just get them looked at when you drive it home. Now onto the good stuff.
