Second chance on this classic. I've lowered the reserve and added a buy it now price. This is a very rare BJ41 in great condition for its age. It has a 4 cylinder B2 engine renowned for its fuel mileage, durability and long life. Making this BJ41 very, very rare is the original factory soft top, also in great condition. The B2 engine is a 3.2 liter inline 4 cylinder 93 HP diesel engine that appears to be in perfect condition, starts right up, even when cold, and runs with no problems. A 4 speed manual transmission. The body has little rust, none underneath, is just a couple months over a year from being in Japan where it apparently saw very little use. The original seats have one small hole on the driver’s seat, but they ride like they’ve never been sat in. Tires are in good shape. And you won’t have to worry about getting a U.S. registration, it is legally registered here in Wyoming. If you’re looking for a simple dash and gauge panel for ease of access you’ll like this, if you looking for a lot of bells and whistles this isn’t your vehicle. (Working AM radio) I bought this from an importer in Canada a year ago. At the time, my idea was to convert it run on vegetable oil and have a high mileage vehicle for running around town and for my wife to use as a daily driver. We needed a small diesel running on vegoil to pair with our Ford truck for longer trips. So much for planning, shortly after my wife took a job contract where she does a lot of interstate travel, and this little Toyota is not made for interstate travel. Known faults: The oil pressure gauge isn’t working, the emergency brake indicator light is stuck on, even when the brake is completely off, this issue just started. The driver’s seat has a small tear (see photo), as well as the back bench. There is minor rust at the bottom of the door (see photo), and a bit more rust on the bottom inside of the doors, but otherwise everything appears solid. The original undercoat is still visible and apparently working. There is a barely visible kind of wrinkle on the back right panel (see photo). Before I got it into the U.S. the importer replaced the fuel control relay, exhaust pipe and the wind shield to pass the Canadian inspection, he then drove it from Vancouver to Portland, OR. I’ve only replaced the headlights and retainer rings (which were getting rusty). Notice to Bidders: I’ve tried to accurately describe my Land Cruiser through text descriptions and photos. When you purchase a pre-owned vehicle it is not a new vehicle. Any used vehicle can have normal wear and blemishes and remember though this vehicle runs and drives great, it is still 28 years old. Before placing a bid, please read the descriptions thoroughly and view all pictures. Again, this is a 1980 vehicle and even though it is in excellent shape it comes with no warranty expressed or implied. The seller is not responsible for any differences of opinion regarding any description or representation. It is the buyer’s responsibility to satisfy him/herself as to the condition and value of the vehicle and bid based solely on that judgment. The seller has and will make every effort to disclose any defects on the vehicle. The seller assumes no responsibility for repairs. Payment: Cash in Person, Certified Funds.
