2001 Toyota Prius HYBRID w cold AC and CD stereo, 1.5L gas engine with electric hybrid motor and auto transmission with overdrive. Rated for over 50 MPG. Some people have claimed to get over 100 MPG though hyper-miling and adding additional batteries. Loaded with power windows, power locks, power mirrors, rear defog, tilt wheel, cruise control, alloy wheels, and rear spoiler. The interior is very clean with no major wear on the seats. The only real eyesore in the interior is hidden under the steering wheel cover. The Florida sun deteriorated the top of the steering wheel some but saved the body from any major rust. It has all of the VIN tags present on all of the major sheet metal components because they have never been replaced. AM FM cassette w CD player. Even with over 197,000 miles, the gas engine has about 95K and the electric has about 95K since the gas motor only runs when the battery needs to be recharged. Clean Florida title with no brands. The title shows the last registered owner was United Financial and that it was for "private" use. The title was just re-issued on 3/28/2008 showing actual miles of 197,590. But because the batteries were dead at the auction and the digital odometer was not lit, someone incorrectly wrote a false reading of 999,999 miles and checked the not actual miles on the bottom of the title. We can easily correct that with an afidavit verifying the actual digital odometer currently reads 197,690 on a separate form as required by law. Call for a test drive. I have replaced the service battery, the main HV battery and the mass air sensor to correct all of the mechanical flaws. This car starts, runs and drives fine. It is clean underneath and not leaking anything on my drive. There are no trouble lights lit, the AC is ice cold and all of the power functions are working. The only electrical things not 100% are that the front door power locks are not working. You can lock and unlock the rear doors with the drivers door lock key and the button but the fronts are not currently responding. Also, the passenger window switch on the drivers door works fine but feels a little loose. On the outside there are over a hundred small rock chips on the front hood (see the pics), there is also a poorly touched up scratch and a scuff from where the front license plate must have been rubbing. On the rear the paint on the wing is faded and there is a small dent above the right rear tailight and on the right front door (see the pics). I'll try to diagnose the front power locks this week while the auction is going. I have described everything to the best of my knowledge that I have noticed on this car. But keep in mind that it is a used car and is not perfect. Feel free to call or write with any questions. If you want a professional inspection, we can arrange for that at your expense. Thanks for looking.
