This car would make a great project car or a parts car. This 2001 Prius is an extremely clean nice car for the miles. The floor mats are a little soiled, but I have not even tried to clean them. You are getting the car in the same condition I bought it from the dealer. Everything on the car is in good working order (windows, locks, mirrors, stereo, keyless entry). The air conditioner is ice cold. The seats are a nice as a new one; the previous owner was a nonsmoker. The windshield is not cracked or broken. The tires have approximately 50% tread left on them. There are a few light dents in the roof that is could not get the camera to pick up. There are also a few scuffs on the rear bumper from where people were loading things in and out of the trunk. Ok, here is what I know about the mechanical damage. I bought this car from my father’s Toyota store as a trade in with intentions of fixing the car. I sourced a motor then my mechanic quit on me so I decided just to sell the car as is. I do have a clean Indian title in hand. The previous owners of this car were headed down the interstate and the gasoline powered engine started knocking in the car. The Toyota shop manger said it needs a new gasoline engine. THE HYBRID SYSTEM IS NOT HURT. The car will start and run, but there is no possible way to drive it on a road. I move it around my lot just fine, but the motor does make noise. This would be a very inexpensive way to have a great hybrid car that is very clean, great on gas, for not a lot of money.)
