Item Name: 1986 ½ Normally Aspirated Toyota Supra

Car Description:
I first purchased this normally aspirated Supra with the rare solid hard top in the summer of 1991. Since then, I have put about 5000 miles on the car each year. As of 6/22/2008, the odometer reading is 109,278 miles, which I believe is extremely low for a 22 year old car. For the past 17 years, it has mostly sat in my garage except on occasional weekends. It was primarily purchased due to my love of the 7M Toyota Supra line. Over the years, I have done quite a bit of upgrades to the car. However, I tried extremely hard to retain the natural beauty and original character of this amazingly designed car. I have never been in an accident or even received a ticket in this car. Below is a list of upgrades that I have added over the years:
1. I loved the look of the continuous rear tail lights on the models built between 1989-1992, so I was fortunate enough to find a set from a 1990 model car in excellent condition.
2. And likewise, I felt that the 1990 model side mirrors flowed much better with the car, so I upgraded to them as well.
3. I added genuine Kaminari side skirts (rockers) to each side to make the car look complete. I decided to keep the OEM front bumper from the 1986 ½ model because I thought that it made the car look flatter and faster than the 1989-92 models. I chose not to install the Kaminari rear skirt because it appeared too bulky for my taste.
4. 1989-1992 climate control digital panel (all black buttons)
5. Japanese clear corner front lens
6. 3-piece OZ Racing rims, extemely rare 18x9.5 rears with 275/35/ZR18 Yokohama tires, 18x9 fronts with 235/40/R18 Ventus tires. (paid approximately $2500 during the early 1990’s). The rims do have some minor curb rashes, but for the most part, they are still in great condition. The front tires have about 90% tread, rears are essentially new.

When I had the HKS head gasket installed 2 years ago, it made sense to also have the block and head machined and refinished to near factory specs. All new OEM valves, springs, and retainers were installed. All belts (including timing) have been replaced at that time. After the rebuild, the engine pretty much runs like new and is essentially bullet-proof. The exterior was professionally painted in a dark burgandy color (similar to the burgandy in the 1991-1992 models) 2 ½ years ago. There is absolutely no door dings, dents or major scratches on the car. The OEM front lip (originally factory black) is in new condition and is painted dark burgandy as well.
As for the interior, the two front seats were reupholstered in luxurious grey cloth. I decided to keep the headrest in original grey leather. The two rear seats are still in good condition with the original grey leather. Leather shift boot was replaced with a brand new leather piece. To summarize, I truly believe it would be quite difficult to find a 7M model today that is in such great condition, both interior and exterior.
Please note that the AC does blow cold air but it will need a simple freon recharge soon, and the amplifier shown in one of the photos of the rear trunk will not be included in the sale.
Lastly, the reason why I am listing my Supra for sale is that I am expecting my third child in November. As a result, my wife and I recently purchased a mini van for our growing family. There is simply not enough parking spaces in our home. At the moment, we have two sedans, a mini van and this Supra. And, unfortunately, the Supra appears to be the obvious choice to be sold. I just hope it finds itself a new owner who will treat it with a high level of care and respect like I have for the past 17 years….

Non-refundable Deposit of $500.00 must be made within 5 business days of auction's end (Paypal ok). The rest will be paid in the form of cash, money order or cashier check.
