Vehicle Description
I bought this T100 new in 1996. We give all our vehicles names and this truck's name is 'Nanook' which means 'Polar Bear'. Nanook has been my favorite truck ever. Dependable and reasonably easy on gas at 19mpg non-city driving. Oil changes etc have been done regularly since Nanook was new. Toyota increased the size of their Tacoma so that it is almost exactly the same size now as these old T100s, which is a size that suits me fine, and I bought a new Tacoma 2 years ago but kept Nanook. Now I have decided that it would be best to let Nanook go to a new home. Nanook is a great truck and has never let me down, but of course a 12 year old truck with 122k miles is less dependable that a 2 year old. I almost always take my dogs along in the back so dependability is especially important for me since few people will stop for a hitch-hiking old geezer who has several old dogs with him. Anyway, I seldom use Nanook anymore so I reluctantly put him up for sale. ---- Shortly before I bought the new Tacoma 2 years ago I put a new muffler, new tires, steering linkage ball joints and shocks on Nanook. These are 2 years old now but have only a few hundred miles on them. Nanook has a number of minor scratches and little dents. There is some rust but not much except for the original steel wheels which are pretty rusty. The AC, heat, etc and AM/FM radio work fine but the cassette deck does not work. The cap is made by Leer and has a rack for carrying light things like a canoe or ladder. The bed has a rubber mat which makes it comfortable for dogs. There is a sliding window in both the front of the cap and Nanook's rear window. This is the 3.4 liter 6 cyl engine with a 5 speed manual transmission and there is a manual lever to access 4WD and 4WD Low Range. Nanook has never towed anything or carried anything much heavier than a few hundred pounds in the bed & a canoe on the rack. ---- If I were looking to buy a 12 year old 122k mile truck, I would sure want to look it over before committing myself. You can call me or email me and come look over Nanook. Or, if you bid on Nanook and win, and then when you come to pick him up you aren't happy with him, I'll keep enough of your deposit to pay Ebay's fees for the auction and give you back the rest and we'll call that even. I'd like you to contact me within 72hours of the time the auction ends if you win to let me know you're a serious person, and send me $300 then as a deposit. Then pay the remainder in cash when you come to get him. ---- We're in Berne New York, which is a half hour or so west of Albany. Call me at 518-872-2848 or email tiggerpoz@earthlink.net for directions to come see & test drive.
