Vehicle Description Toyota Pickup 1985 4x4 SR5 (EFI) Straight Axle Toyota Pickup 1985 4x4 SR5 (EFI) Straight Axle VIN # JT4RN60SF5056653 Mileage 235,096 California Registration currently PNO (non op) Clear Title This is a Straight Axle, 4x4, 5-Speed Manual Transmission with Electronic Fuel Injection, Short Bed. The ultimate combination sought after by Toyota enthusiasts. This truck was my daily driver from 1998 to 2006 when the second motor I installed blew. My Toyota mechanic did a head job but said the block was in bad shape. It eventually overheated which is why the motor compartment looks crusty. All the stock parts are still on the motor for California Smog. Replace the motor and you’re ready to wheel. The passenger front quarter panel was damaged by the door from misalignment. I have the tailgate (not pictured). I never did any cosmetic work on the inside or outside of the truck, however, the drive train was always maintained and drove very well. Mechanics always commented on how well it drove and shifted. Stock lockers work great. I replaced the rear axle and third member 30K ago. Heavy duty U-joints. Beefy front and rear bumpers. Add-a-leafs in rear. Winch needs service. Tires have much tread left. Recent clutch reservoir. Heavy duty exhaust. Recent shocks. Recent radiator work. As I said, I was continuing to maintain it as a daily driver until the motor blew unexpectedly on a road trip to Arizona. I rarely wheeled the truck and 4wd was used mostly for Sierra snow trips and occasional backcountry camping trips. Never the hardcore wheeling stuff, never abused. The truck has light rust on the outside of the bed as most from this era display…but it is a California truck with no major body or frame rot like most East Coast Trucks would display from salted winter roads. This truck has great restoration potential. I needed a new daily driver and moved on. Now it’s time to sell. I’m too busy to ever do the restoration myself I have concluded after 2 years of sitting on it. Buyer must pick up the truck or we can arrange auto transport to your location (which is expensive with current gas situation). We do auto transport as well so email me if you want a quote for moving it. The truck is in Chico CA 95928. I’ve never sold a vehicle on EBAY but have 100% positive feedback and member for 10 years. I have done my best to describe the truck which is sold AS IS. Please feel free to e-mail me with your questions and I will post a response. Happy Bidding Dale On Aug-01-08 at 08:31:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Hey Toyota Lookers... I have added some interior and tailgate pictures. I responded to a question saying the dash was crack free...however, there are now four tiny cracks in the dash that have developed since I parked it. They are up by the tray area of the passenger side..... small but noted for accuracy sake. Buyer also gets two spare tires/rims. Another interesting note worth mentioning is the front trailer hitch ball mounted to the bumper. A very handy item for moving and parking trailers around the yard. Thanks for looking and keep the questions coming. Dale
