Vehicle Description
Up for auction is my 1986 Toyota pickup truck. It comes with a Fischer plow set up and a nice Scott-Lite aluminum stake body. The transmission, clutch, transfer case all work excellently. The interior is clean and all the glass is good. The tires are in good shape with plenty of tread left. 2" reciever on back.
These are the issues with the truck. The engine starts with a little gas or starting fluid in the carb, and will idle smoothly, but there appears to be something wrong with fuel delivery or carb. There is a broken brake line which I have a replacement for, so the brake system will need servicing and attention, the parking brake works fine. The plow is currently not responsive, though it worked fine not long ago. I think there is a leak in one of the hydraulic plow lines onto the manifold and it is causing smoke. Small exhaust leak somewhere. Might need a battery. There is frame rust. The front drivers differential mount is broken/rusted and would need to be welded or have a bracket made.
This truck would be great for someone who wants to use the very nice Scott-Lite Aluminum flat bed stake body on their truck and switch over the Fischer Plow. The engine has relatively low miles and the rest of the drive train is excellent. please ask questions. this is a nice little truck with the bulletproof 22r engine that is economical and provides enough power. but this is not in drive away conditon. i believe in honesty and have described every problem that I know of. I don't believe in surprises. it will need work, or will be an excellent yard truck or very nice donor vehicle. thanks.
