Vehicle Description
You are bidding on my Toyota 4wd flatbed pickup. Not a bad old truck, but could use some TLC. I will describe the best I can, but please ask if you have any questions. I have owned this for about 10-12 years. I just put a new battery in the truck last week and it starts right up. I hadn't driven it since last fall, but have recently had it out on a few short trips. It seems to sputter a little in the low RPM range. I think it's time for new plugs and wires. I changed these when I bought it, but never have since. You will notice the hitch on the bed, this was used to pull a small sprayer on my farm. I used the truck primarily for this in the spring through summer, then just used it to run around locally in the fall and winter. If you're looking at this truck you're probably already familiar with them, but I will describe as follows:
Power steering
22R engine with 5 speed transmission and 2 speed transfer case
A/C, needs charged and is not a factory unit, it was added on.
Originally gray in color, now Yellow w/black painted stripes
original chrome wheels with rust on them and 20-30% tires, 235/75R15 in size
Flatbed was made by me and is a good bed. Bed measures 6'6" long and 5'8" wide. Front storage compartment is 10" inside and included in 6'6" length, not in addition to.
temp guage works intermittently, engine has direct fan (no clutch) and no thermostat, radiator was replaced with a new one since I have owned the truck
seats are from an SR5 model and are very comfortable. They have a burn or two from the previous truck they were in.
leaf springs have 6" shackle extensions on the rear on all springs front and rear.
Left front fender and corner light need replaced as you can see in the picture
Lights on rollbar aren't working right now.
I have the muffler for the truck but it isn't on it right now
windshield has a rock chip in the center area
paint is faded a little and the inside is a little on the dusty side
brake fluid needs checked periodically since the level goes down over time. I think they need bled out and one wheel must need a new cylinder kit or something.
Clutch and pressure plate were replaced when I purchased the truck with a new Toyota HD model
am/fm/cass, radio works good, never tried tape.
As far as driving goes, truck drives pretty good. This has always been a pretty good truck and has never needed much in the way of repairs or anything like that. It has the legendary Toyota dependability these trucks are famous for. I have thought long and hard about even getting rid of it, but I just don't drive it enough to keep it anymore.

Truck must be picked up at my residence. I am located about 20 miles straight east of Effingham, IL. Effingham is about halfway between Indianapolis and St. Louis. A $100 non-refundable deposit will be required via paypal at auction end. I would prefer the balance in cash, but will accept paypal or a personal check if you want to wait for it to clear before picking up.

I have added a few more pictures tonight. I had some questions about oil leaks, etc. There are 2 picutures taken of the floor under truck. The truck has been setting in this place for one week. There are maybe ten drops under the LF wheel ball joint. No other oil on floor. Also some oil scum on front of valve cover, but no drips. I was also asked about oil consumption. I would have to say this is very minimal and there is no smoke at startup or while driving. Transfer case is somewhat oily, but doesn't drip. I would say front seal on xfer case seeps a little. I had another bidder ask about rust other than on fender. I added some pictures of lower doors and rocker panels to show this. The right door has just a little on the very bottom. The cab on this truck is pretty solid. The frame is also solid. I have seen frames on these trucks rust out behind the cab, this is not that way. On the subject of the fender, this damage was not caused by a frontal collision and there is no inner structure damage in this area.
