Vehicle Description
1966 VW Beetle Convertible.
I am listing this for my uncle so I don't know a whole lot about it but I do know that he has kept it inside and has had over $1,000 in repairs done to it. I have the invoices from the repairs and I will try and list as much as I can . The car has been in the family for about 20 years. Car is drivable with no problems. Car in located at zip code 22980 Waynesboro Virginia.
Here we go:
The floor pans and battery box have been professionally replaced and are rust free. The only rust is in one small corner of a fender and he mentioned that some of the chorome has a little rusty coating to it. Some chrome has been replaced. Car is driveable and runs good. All work was done at a local VW repair shop in Fishersville, VA CJBuggs Import Repair.
6 volt battery, battery cable, piston rings, pushrod tubes, valves, oil pressure sensors and basically a complete tune up of the car. Also the odometer has been replaced so original miles is unknown.
Also it has new tires and most, if not all the chrome has been replaced at one time or another.
The beetle is in running order, can be driven, and the convertible top does not leak.
Overall the paint is in pretty good condition with a few minor blimishes. There is no rust present on the body.
There are some spare parts that come along with the car. I believe it is extra chrome and trim.
He has moved and has no where to put the car that is indoors and protected so that is why he has decided to sell it. Overall it is a nice classic beetle with a drop top.
