Vehicle Description
This '68 Beetle, to my knowledge, has been stored or sheltered for the past 10 to 20 years. The owner prior to myself, had it in storage for about 6 years or so. He also did some of the restoration on the bug. He had done a decent job, but did not keep a few things authentic. For example, the steering wheel is from a '71 or later, the shift knob is incorrect and the antenna is not for this Volkswagen. I was told that the owner prior to that, kept it in a garage for 10 plus years, only driving it occassionally. We've all heard that one before....."to church on Sundays".....but, after looking at the vehicle, I tend to believe it. It is in very good shape. The odometer reads 27917...I think it could be just 127K...but no one knows for sure. One thing to look for when wanting to buy a convertable bug, is how well the windows line up. I have taken pics of both sides so that you see these. There are a couple of things in need of repair, though. The top has a small hole just above the back window, so the headliner shows the effect of the leak. The front nose was dented by a Raccoon that darted out in front of me....bet he still has a knot on his head.... Other than that, it is a great car. It is a daily driver that gets 29+ mpg in town and she's always kept in the garage.
I always get compliments when I am driving her. This car brings back lots of fun memories, for myself and those who see her. Everyone has VW stories, make more with this one! Good luck with your bidding.

This car has a MAUNUAL transmission. Not, an automatic, sorry for any inconvience. I could not change the description by the time I noticed my mistake. As for the many questions inquiring about the reserve amount, I do not wish disclose what it is. I will only be selling the car, when the reserve amount is met or surpassed. So, happy bidding.
