Vehicle Description
I have for sale a 1998 Volkswagen Beetle, new body style, which I bought about two months ago from the original owner that I knew really well. I bought the car for my brother-in-law and he decided he didn't want to pay for it, so it is now for sale. It has approximately 125,300 miles on it and a clear title. It had a new clutch installed about a year and a half ago. Mechanically the car runs excellent, gets GREAT gas milage, (about 30+ MPG), great running AC that was just charged, two newer tires in the front that had worn out. The backs have about 50% tread left. The car has power locks, power windows, cruise control, a 6 CD changer and dual front air bags.
The car had been somewhat customized by the original owner and had alot of great options on it such as aftermarket cat back exhaust, abd intake that was added, a neuspeed rear sway bar, konig 18" tantrum rims with pirelli tires, wings west side skirts and rear valance, added on spoiler, clear corners, and euro tail lights installed.
The interior has custom component paint (Yellow) as well as a momo shift knob, cut shifter, leather shift boot, wet oklole neoprene custom seat covers, audi TT style pedals, and custom floor mats. It also has a 6-Cd changer as well.
To the new owner, we will also provide the stock tail lights if they wish to go back to that style, as well as the parts never installed which include a neuspeed front sway bar and a set of HR lowering springs (all brand new never installed).
Some flaws the car has:
The ground effects in the corners has some chipping paint which I tried to show as best I could in the pictures, also has some rock chips on the hood. On the drivers door, there are a couple of small door dings and some light scratches. The paint is peeling on the drivers side door in one spot, (You could rub it off, it's actually shinier without it on there). It had started to come off on me when I was cleaning the door. One of the front fog lights are missing. The window switch on both doors works but they are loose feeling. I would buy new window switches because it will probably need them soon. The glovebox handle just broke on me the other day when I was cleaning it. The tape player eats tapes, but the 6 CD changer works well. I tried to show most of the flaws as best I could in the pictures.
With all that over with, I have tried to describe the car as best possible. I wanted to be as picky about it and describe EVERYTHING so everyone knows what they are buying. With that said, the car really is in good condition and is a real eye catcher, especially with the custom paint on the inside. The car is being sold "As-Is" with no warranty. Also, for some reason, the ad says it has a sunroof but it doesn't. Also, the date was off on my camera. The pictures are recent!!! The car is also for sale locally. Seller reserves the right to end the auction early if sold locally.
