Car has a rebuilt title, but clean. Title in hand ready to sell
For sale is the New Beetle 2002, 2.0 GLS well looking car, in excellent conditions, 5 speed manual, 30-31 mpg; sunroof and only 34,000 miles on it.
Little history of the car:
On February 2005; with only 23,000 miles car was bought at a dealer and involved in an accident a few months later (June 2005, driver door was affected); thencar went back to dealer and spent like 7 months there (dealer retained title); until it was selled to another dealer who fixed the car (1 year and 6 months). Notice that all this time (about 2 years since 2005) car was not driven and spent almost all time parked (so miles could not change). Car passed inspections and was back to road. Then it was bought from a friend of mine who went to Irak and he had the car parked for a few months, until he decided to sell it to me; then I bought it and; I had the car parked for about 6 months in my garage (I bought the car for my sister). Now I just realized she is going to take longer, so I decided to sell it.
Now, before inserting this auction, I had the car checked by a mechanic who specializes in German cars, trying to find something wrong to mention here, he also check the computer, and he told me the car is in excellent conditions, no mechanical or electrical issues. Car drives excellent like new car.
I pulled out carmax to verify all the complete information and I found out that they make a couple of mistakes (sometimes they make mistakes as they said): First one, they state that car has a salvage title, but that’s not true; car has a rebuilt tilte: it says re-built on the title and on a sticker on the driver door that also says re-built (there is a big difference between re-built and salvage). I contacted them, but it’s not easy to change it. The other mistake is that they suggest that there is a possibility that miles could be rolled back and this is not true either. Just look at the miles when car was in the accident; that was 29,860 (June 2005) and then 2 years parked while it was fixed (check carmax says dealer retains title on 2 years); that will be 2007 and then in that year my friend had the car parked and so do I. So there is no doubt that this car reflects actual miles.
If you still don’t believe it, come and see it, no beetle with 34,000 miles looks and specilly drives like this one: I tested one with 100k miles; and you can see and feel the difference. Look at the engine; look underneath the car, check interior; all mechanical pieces are factory and they look like new; also watch original paint; 1 or 2 invisible chips, no dents or dings (of course the driver door, fender and part of the bumper are not original paint, but it looks like)
Iam describing and selling this car the way I would like to receive, I can't give you any warranty; but you have my word that in the future you won't have any problems with this car. Please come and test it.
The bad:
- When you open the driver door you can see at the door jamb some work it was done to put the new door(see pictures)
- There is an old stain in the roof at the driver corners (see picture). I remark, it’s old, I do not know why. Water does not come inside; I think that was made when they were repairing the car, they did not take care about it and water start coming inside until they installed the door. Again water does not come inside
- One fog light is missing (easy to fix)
The good:
Everything else; starting with tires, they are like 95% thread left brand Michelin, with nice rims (they are not hub caps); A/C blows ice cold, original alarm and original keys (2); interior leather seats are in great shape, same as carpets; electric doors and windows; sunroof , front and side airbags and everything checked on this car.
Important: Iam going to request a $100 deposit after auction finish and the complete payment when you pick up the car. If you come and change your mind and decide not to buy it, for any reason, it is OK, you won’t receive negative feedback; Iam just going to retain the $100 to pay the fees and my time for relisting it again. This is a serious bid, Iam making my best describing it and showing the bad and best of the car, there is nothing hidden here. Rules are set
I also accept trades (Iam looking for a japanese truck: Toyota or Nissan year 1997 or over)
Any questions please refer it to me at my e-mail: pemn21@yahoo.com or at my cell phone: 561-236-9970. Iam located in Miami (33015). And of course you are more than welcome to see, inspect, speed, the car before bidding. Ask all questions you want, more pictures, just let me know, everything you need, so you can feel comfortable bidding at this nice car.
Thanks for your interest, I may consider lower the reserve if my reserve price is not reach. This car at book in these conditions is more than 8,000 Iam asking a lot less than that. If you want me to make an offer I want to listen to it. But please, don't think Iam going to let this car go by pennies. Iam not desesperate to sell it.
