1972 Volkswagen Transporter Bus 109K original miles This is my wife’s dream car. She wanted a Bus to drive and restore. We found this one in New Haven about 2 years ago, and my wife fell in love with it. We had it flat bed towed home, about 35 miles away, because we didn’t want to drive it a 1972 VW home that has been sitting for so long. We did absolutely nothing to this vehicle. My wife had big dreams to get this project off of the ground, but due to time and money, the Bus just sat in the driveway, in the way. The main reason why I purchased this Bus is because of the good condition of the frame rails, the underneath, the fresh motor, and decent interior. What I know: I purchased it from the second owner, who had it since 1984. The engine was recently rebuilt, along with the Weber carb. The Bus sat in their yard under a pine tree, (which is why the back roof part is rotted.) The exhaust needs to be replaced. The battery needs to be replaced. Left rear tire has a slow leak. The driver door handle does not work. There is an after market sunroof installed. This Bus would need to be towed, after purchase, or if you are a VDUB head, you can probably get it running in no time. This is a great example to start a restoration project. Pick up where we never got started. Baby is on the way……must sell Please don’t email me and tell me that you will give me $175 cash tomorrow. This is an auction. Follow the auction protocol. The Bus is located in Northwest Connecticut. Feel free to call with any questions. 203-526-1750, Tommy I have posted several pictures, if you want more, just let me know I highly recomend coming to look at the Bus if you are seriously interested.
