We bought this van about 2 years ago from a friend. It had been in storage for approx 18 years. We were told that the motor had been rebuilt approx 1000 miles before it was parked. We took it to a mechanic at the begining of summer in hopes that we would be able to drive it by the end of summer. Our mechanic replaced some plugs and wires and It started right up. Unfortunately he said that he heard a noise in the lower part of the motor that he believes is a rod knocking.The body is in good conditon and the interior is excellent. It has all original equiptment hammock. power cord, screens, etc. there is a hole in the top canvas at the back of the van. We did camp in it one night and it was awsome, no leaks. We hate to see it go but, it is a bigger project than we are willing to take on right now.(too many other projects) Please know that whoever wins this auction will have to make arrangements for pick up. I would not recommend driving it because we have never had it in motion and I do not know how well the brakes are after sitting for 20 years.
