Vehicle Description 1985 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia Camper, This is a great VW Van! It has 155k on it and has a rebuilt from volkswagen motor with only 40k on it. The transmission shifts smoothly and the van drives great! It has 4 almost new tires. The brakes are great with 3/4 pad left. I have all the history and receipts for the van. There is no rust on the body but the paint does have scratches and is showing its age. It looks good but if you look close there is areas where the clear is blistered. The vans body is very straight with only a couple small dents and dings but nothing major. The van has all the camping goodies that you could want. It has both hard to find screens in the side windows and the mosquito screen for the back. It also has all the curtains which are in good condition. It has a 2 burner stove , Sink and a fridge. It also has a table that lives in the back and can be used in the front mount as well. Everything works however I am not able to get the fridge to ignite on gas. It does run on electric. May just need to be cleaned out or I am doing it wrong when I try to light it. the door on the fridge also has a hard time closing since the molding around the door has warped not allowing the door to close all the way like it should. This is a simple fix with a heat gun and a little glue. The interior is nice. The front seats have a couple spots but not bad. There is even the rare extra passenger seat that locks in the floor in the back. This seat even has a swivel on it just like the driver and passenger seats do. The pop top is in great shape. The canvas looks solid with no holes in it or the screen that unzips up there. The bed is in great condition as well. The cabinets all work well and look good. There are a couple blemishes in them but nothing major. Like all of these vans the interior molding is in need of some glue to hold it in place better. All together the interior is very nice for its age. The van has Air conditioning but it needs a recharge. The engine just had a tune up and purrrrrrs like a kitten. The head gaskets still look excellent and you can still see the genuine VW Remanufactured Sticker on the block. This van will need a windshield since it has a crack in it. This van is really great and can hit the road today. It has been taken care of by mechanics its whole life and I have the receipts to prove it. It is an old vehicle and will most likely need other parts as you go but as for right now seems to be in great condition. It is being sold AS IS Where IS. No warranty is implied! Please ask as many questions or come take it for a ride before bidding. I will take more specific photos if requested and email them to you. Once again this is a great van and It will make a great addition to any family. Come test drive it and see for yourself before bidding. You will not be disappointed!
