Vehicle Description
This two-tone 1984 brown and tan Vanagon is an oldie, but goodie! The exterior/original paint is oxidized. There are a few nicks and scrapes here and there, but this Sooby Doo Bus has never been in a wreck. The interior looks very good. The seats are nice, the headliner is not ripped and the sound system is a Kenwood stereo system with speakers in front and rear. The 4 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly and has no problems. The tires are good and are wearing evenly. The odometer has not worked since I have owned this bus. It is frozen around 104,000 miles. The 1.9 VW water-cooled engine has been rebuilt and I estimate that not more than 35K miles has been driven on the rebuilt engine. The water-cooled engine temp stays cool and has not run hot. The oil has been changed, the cap and wires, rotor, plugs have been replaced and a basic tune-up on her, so she is good to go. Fires right up and idles. The bus has never had an AC unit installed. Just open the windows on warmer days and enjoy the fresh polluted air. It has a very good heater when needed. The middle seat slides in and out with the removal of a couple of bolts. This is not the fancy camper style bus with beds or tables. I will not send any more pictures but will answer emails should you have any questions. A $500 deposit is required immediately following the auction. The winner is responsible for VW pick up. I will not ship. Therefore, you will have to make your own pick up arrangements. If you fly in to the Jackson, Miss airport, I will pick you up from there. It is only 5 miles from where I live. You pay me the balance, I sign the title and you drive away. Notice: If you just have to have additional information, please keep your emails and questions brief. Thank you.
