This is a 1987 Volkswagen Cabriolet that I bought at the beginning of summer in hopes to fix up I was told it has newer parts such as front axles, brakes, speedometer cable, clutch, clutch cable, Taylor 8mm wires, platinum spark plugs, performance axle back exhaust, Grant steering wheel, shifter knob and aftermarket foot pedals, It also has an upgraded stereo system with Pioneer CD player, dual 12" PB subwoofers, 1000 watt amplifier and 6 1/2" speakers. The car runs and drives great. Just past inspection a few months ago, it had about 1200 dollars of work done to pass. The top works great I have had no leaks from it. The top had gotten some rips from the resent hail storm but still holds up. I just replaced the alternator belt on it. in my opinion the car is very mechanically strong but the car could use a paint job. its front wheel drive good for snow. $2300 is well under what i have invested into this car.
