You are bidding on a forest green 4 cylinder 1999 Volkswagen Cabrio Convertible.
Unfortunately, the transmission died on this car a few months ago, so it needs love.
This model is no longer manufactured! Here's your chance to own one, cheap!
This car is for sale by owner! Its a green 1999 VW Cabrio Volkswagen Convertible with beige interior and a black top.
Power locks, mirrors, and windows (one is kind of testy, but it works), even the back quarter little windows go down, its very cute!
Driver, passenger, and side airbags, never deployed
4 cylenders, automatic 2.0 liter engine
Butt warmers! Working AC and heat!
Manual convertible top (takes 30 seconds to put up or down! more trunk space than an automatic top) and beige cover to match the interior for when the top is down
This car has been very good to me over the years, but....
Unfortunately, the transmission on this car recently died, it needs a new one to run. It doesn't go into drive. Also, the battery died on it since it's been sitting around for a month. That's why I can't give exact mileage, but I know for sure that the miles are between 88 and 90k. For this reason, I'm willing to sell for a low price, with the hopes that someone will be interested in putting work into it or buy it for parts. It needs to be detailed as the inside of the car is dirty. Also, there is some body damage- the driver's side mirror is cracked and so is the plastic surrounding the mirror. Not sure if it needs a completely new one or if this can be repaired. There is some body damage throughout, but its pretty minor- the front fender is coming detached but is held up well for now. there are some minor dings and small dents. there is a 3-4" skinny rip in the driver's seat. There is additional, normal wear and tear on the interior and exterior / body. I will provide pictures of any damage if desired. On the upside, the car just got a new thermostat and brakes last year. Roof in great condition. The car has been pretty good to me over the years (I've been the owner since 2001) but it needs some serious love! Its GREAT on gas, and very fun to drive in the summer. The interior lights are purple, It comes with a Clarion stereo system with a six disc CD changer in the trunk- one CD got stuck between the magazine (which holds the discs) and the actual player, this and the antenna needs to be fixed, too. AS IS.
THIS CAR STILL LOOKS OKAY!!! ITS NOT A BAD CAR, JUST NEEDS THE TRANS , DETAILING JOB, AND MINOR BODY WORK! KBB VALUE OF $4500 IN FAIR CONDITION.
Like I said, it needs work but they don't make this model of car anymore, so if you want to buy it cheap from me and fix it up, you will have a lot of fun with it! I would love to see the car go to a mechanic with a daughter in high school just about to get her driver's license! lol
Please don't hesitate to message me with ANY questions!
CAR IS SOLD AS IS. i have tried my best to detail everything wrong with the car that I know of. There may or may not be additional internal problems that I am not aware of. A couple more things:
If you are bidding on this car and you have a ZERO feedback score with ebay, you need to message me or call me to verify identification or you will be blocked from the auction. This is considered good practice by eBay. I normally wouldn't care except that this is an expensive item! Thank you for your understanding.
My mother was walking past the car and noticed a small one inch tear in the center of the roof, only on the very top layer of material (there are about 7 layers which make it waterproof...) a small patch should conceal this, and I am positive that it is only cosmetic (and barely noticeable at that), not affecting the roof's quality in any way. Any questions please call me at the number indicated above.
Thanks!
