This auction is for a very well maintained diesel Jetta that averages around 40 mpg city/highway combined. I drove the car of the lot brand new and have taken care of it with the intention of never selling it. Of course, things have changed. So take advantage of my misfortune.
All work on the car has been done by VW dealers. The mechanics on the car are practically flawless. The engine turns over with no hesitation and accelerates like it did the day I bought it. The 5 spd transmission is very smooth and still has that 'fun to drive' feel. The sunroof and 6 disc mp3 readable CD player provide inexhaustible source of entertainment. The A/C blows cold and strong in the summer, and the seats get nice and warm when the temperature drops. The fit and finish of the car leave nothing to be desired. From the layout of the instruments to the purr of the diesel engine, its obvious this car was meant to take you places with a level of comfort that far outstrips the cost. The miles rack up effortlessly on the drive train. Putting this car through all five gears, its obvious this car is built with a level of quality that does not disappoint.
The paint and interior look like they did the day I bought the car, with a few extra beauty marks. On the exterior there are two digs in the paint: on the passenger door and between the rear passenger door and rear window (see photos). Also, there are two indents on the bumper about the size of a pencil eraser, and a roughed up spot the size of a silver dollar (see photos). Interior has only two mentions: one of the rear seat vents fell out a month after I bought the car, and there will be three screw holes in the dash if you want to take of the mobile phone holder (See photo). The wheels have a number of rough spots as well (see photo. Thats it for the flaws. I'm being as accurate as I can.
This car has exceeded my expectations for the last 65,000 miles. I can say with confidence it will do the same for whoever drives it next. Happy bidding!!
