1973 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia convertible. Engine is a 1776cc dual port with dual Webers. Engine has been tuned by Blazer automotive in Englewood, CO. Interior does need restoring but works well as a daily driver. The seats do have fabric covers (black). Sony cassete player with cd changer (changer not installed). Two 6x9 Speakers are mounted under rear deck. Vehicle appears to be in great condition with no visable signs of rust. This is a perfect candidate for a full restoration or makes a great fuel effecient daily driver that wins awards for shows in it's current condition!
There was a dent in the front nose, it has been pushed back out to shape, paint has chipped in a small area, bra covers it. Vehicle has a new fuel tank and related hoses. Empi polished wheels. Door panels have been redone by owner with a beige vinyl along with convertible top "boot". Vehicle does have an electronic draw and will drain a battery within a few weeks of being parked. New alternator was purchased, it has not been installed. New battery is installed in vehicle but disconnected when not in use. New wiring harness was purchased in hopes of rewiring vehicle to eliminate electrical draw. We have had this vehicle for several years and it has been a great car to cruise around town. Never driven in the snow or bad weather. It has always been garaged. Top is in good condition with no tears.
Rear window is plexiglass that snaps into position. We just don't have the time or garage space to further this project and are changing direction with our driving situation. My "mechanic" son is moving away and won't have time to tinker with this classic anymore. Other than the electrical issue we know of no other issue with vehicle. Has aftermarket pipe on exhaust that sounds throaty! We have had numerous VW'S and this has been one of our favorites for sure. It handles great and has plenty of power! Paint is in good condition with minor scuffs or scrapes here and there. Some lower trim is missing (double row of chrome). True miles unknown. We are not sure of actual miles same as majority of classic VW owners. Not sure how many times, if any, the odometer has rolled over. This vehicle gets looks everywhere it goes and always has people asking info about it. We hate to see it go but would like to see it in someones hands that will continue to drive and give it the attention and home it deserves. Please feel free to email with any questions.
