Vehicle Description
This is one beautiful 1968 Karmann Ghia Volkswagen. The car was built in Idaho and shipped to New York last year. This is what has been done by the people or person in Idaho who built this car. The pan is perfect (See pictures). The body was nosed and de-chromed and painted red. No body damage, it does not look like it has been hit. Check out the pictures of the inside of trunk and nose area. The only place that looks like it has been fixed was under the battery in the rear of the car. (See picture). Note: I have the front and rear bumpers...they have been welded together and the rear shortenned, some body work has been started! I only have the front bumper brackets.

The car was lowered with an adjustable front beam so you can adjust it up or down to suit. The rear torsion bars were only re-adjusted to lower the rear end. KYB gas shocks. Chrome wheels and chrome hubcap tires are OK but should be replaced and front end lined up.
The engine is a later dual port that run’s good. I did pull the engine and have the rear seal and o-ring replaced and valve cover gaskets. When I put the engine back in I did some very minor damage to the rear panel under the deck lid. Also it will require new paper heater tubes from the blower to heater boxes.
Interior is good, headliner has been painted black. The front and rear seats are black and in good shape. The car has the original rubber floor mat. Empi shifter. The glass is good and all seals and weather stripping have been replaced except the doors but I have the seals. Note windshield rubber has a couple of small cracks. The horn does not work and car could use new tires.
It is a fun car to drive but I have a street rod project I want to finish!
Note: the car does need some TLC! But can driven as is. I have driven almost daily.
