This is a beautiful car, inside and out. I purchased it from a man in Kentucky, who was a VW Nut. He completely refurbished the car. Upon purchasing a VW bus, his wife told him it was time to get rid of the Ghia. I saw it and fell in love. It has been a wonderful car for me. It runs great, it gets great gas mileage and maintenance is almost nonexistent... The interior is completely custom... The seats are upholstered in Tan with black stripes... The floor, the back seat cubby and the front trunk are covered in a square weave tan carpet with vinyl piping... The chrome front bumper , the chrome rear bumper, the chrome hub caps and the chrome side rails are all in excellent condition. They have zero rust!... The engine was completely rebuilt. It has only 8,800 miles on it. (Actually a little less) It has a chrome fan shroud, chrome engine cover, chrome coil cover, chrome alternator, chrome oil fill and chrome pulleys. This engine is so clean, you could eat off of it!!!... The paint is in very nice shape... There are no dents or dings on the body... The only thing that would need to be fixed is part of the weather stripping. Two 15 inch pieces, that I have for you in the car...In addition, you may notice that the front turning lights are not that of a '74, but of an earlier model. These were the simply preferred by the previous owner. I kind of like them too. But, if you want to change them out that's an easy thing to do... I had this car appraised by Classic Car Appraisals. They appraised it for $14,500. I scanned a copy of the appraisal as well as the condition report. I am selling it (although I hate to!!!!) so low, because I have two other cars and car insurance is one of several bills that I am trying to cut!!!! This is a great car that needs a great home!! Please let me know if you have any questions!:)
