Vehicle Description
Up for auction is a great running and driving 1998 Passat 1.8 turbo with a smooth shifting 5 speed automatic! If your looking for a cheap, strong running gas saving car that can comfortably seat a family of 4/5, look no further.
The cars engine is in great shape. The top end has just been rebuilt, amd a new timing belt, tensioners, and water pump were installed. The timing belt on these cars is one of the most important maintenance items, and a costly one, so thats one less thing to worry about.
The transmission shifts very smooth, with no clunks or slipping. It also has the tiptronic shifter, meaning you can drive it like a manual car witout the clutch, if you like. If not, just put it in drive and go.
The interior is in pretty good shape. There is a few small spots of wear on the drivers seat, but other than that, its pretty clean. It also has HEATED seats. You can comfortable fit 4 adults in a Passat, they are rather roomy. It also features power door locks, power mirrors, and a power sunroof. There is also an aftermarket cd player as well.
The body is showing some signs of wear. There are some dents, scratches, knicks, etc. It looks good till you get up real close to it. I mean its not that bad, but I want to make sure the winning bidder understands its not perfect. Please look at the pictures as I've taken pics of all the flaws. As you can see tho, it doesn't look that bad.
If your looking for a good running and driving Passat, with a recent New Jersey inspection on it, look no further! If your looking for a perfect condition car, please don't bid.
I also reserve the right to end the auction early, as the car is listed locally as well. Please do not bid if you do not have the money to buy the car. A $500 non refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction.

I bought this car to keep miles off my Audi S4 as I was commuting 200-400 miles a week. I then changed jobs to one that is only 7 miles from my house, right when I finished this up. So I don't drive this car. I'm selling it for that reason. I have been buying/selling VW's and Audi's on ebay for the past 3 years, and I think my feedback speaks for itself. Bid with confidence! A few things I forgot to mention....I am more than willing to listen to reasonabnle cash offers and end the auction early. I am not going to give the car away tho, so lowballers, please don't bother. I will also only show the car in person on a Saturday. The car is 45 minutes one way away from me, so I'm not going to spend time/gas showing lots of people the car when it can be done in one day.....thanks! As always with any used car, there are no warranties expressed or implied. There are many aftermarket warranties available online if you'd like one, just do a search in google! Thanks and good luck!
