Vehicle Description
This an ALL WHEEL DRIVE PASSAT station wagon . It has the economical V6 engine, is In super good condition with, as far as I could tell the lowest reserve price among the same or similar vehicle category.
WHY BUY THIS ONE :This is probably the best catch in the special auto purchase. I am originally coming from Germany and I drove principally VW or Mercedes if and when I could afford it. They are both over luxurious but as well as that, they are with over quality and over durability. This part comes especially important when you are buying a used car. I allways felt the used cars even old used cars should be as reliable, good running as a new car. At least I always needed that. Well, years of experience showed me that, those two brands of vehicles really are like that. They never dissappointed me. It must be just the material used and the quality of engineering applied. If you didn't have the pleasure with those two brands yet, ask some one who did, you will get the confirmation.
However. this one here is extra extra special and is equipped with a lot of mechanical wonders of German engineering. SPECIFICATIONS & EQUIPMENT : a) It is an -all wheel drive- all the time. It has an unbelievable road grabbing and a thrust that you feel when you take off or turn that even if it is slippery outside. b) It had an automatic transmission with self learning memory to accomodate the driving habits of its owner. c) It has a feature that enables the driver to shift manually if so desired- for some this is the biggest deal. d) It has a DUAL brand Audio System, FM , AM radio CD MP3 player with high end cabling and speakers- Best Buy professional installation-. The sound quality is out of this world. YES , Of course. it has an Ipod connection jack ( see in the pictures just below the radio in the middle) it should work with any other personal audio. See pictures of the audio console - The face is removable against theft.
CONDITION : The vehicle in principle is in perfect shape and condition;Both inside and out. The only exception to this is in the exterior:a 3 inch size roundish dent on the left rear door , this is minor - it is hard to see without proper angling of light. I tried to depict in in the pictures. Otherwise the usual road marks of gravel scratches here and there are present, which could probably be self fixed by and able owner. Interior is all leather, it looks and smells new and is in a perfect state. No smoking ever in the vehicle. EXTRAS :
All the known European comfort and luxury is represented here and perhaps more. some of it I think is too much. Not only all windows and locks are power but, both sides front seats are powered but those have a memory function for the user ease- so that the different drivers in the family would not need to fumble with the controls and just code in their preference for immediate obedience. Anti theft security and remote control keys all present. It is at 118.000 miles. this is not much for a high end VW, as all VW drivers would tell you. It looks like new and drives like new. FUEL ECONOMY ; It is remarkably ECONOMICAL as the all wheel drive vehicles go . It fairs just like a regular 2 wheel high economy car. You can expect 24 miles Per Gallon most of the time. test conditions are indicating 27mile/pg ..
Rear seats bend and make a flat big surface in the back or a bed- if you will. The rear is accomodated with a neat top cover easily pulling over to cover the mess of stored things which tends to occur in wagons often. . Beautiful and easy access roof rack. You wanna hear more crazy stuff? Alright here it is: THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT IS COOLED.. how about that one.!
Very effective cooling and heating. all in prime condition. In essense everything works with this vehicle. Some even over work. This pertains to the environmental protection check light. This system has nothing to do with the efficiency of the vehicle. from the beginning of my ownership this light came on and then it went off before I could get it turned off. There is no real reason for it, the next maintainance on that function is at 140,000 miles. but it does that anyway and of course it has nothing to do with the mechanical ability or essence of the vehicle. I would recommend to leave it alone like all the drivers of the 2000 to 2005 Passat drivers do. If you check the website you will read this to be a well known thing with this model and apparently no one knows why and no one recommends anything other than ignoring it. .
I am selling because my son who enjoyed this vehicle is going to a serious pilot training and will not be able to access it any longer. Thanks for looking and good luck with bidding
