1982 Volkswagen Rabbit 1.6L Diesel LX: NON -TURBO. Can be converted to free WVO or what ever you wish. These can run on veggie oil, bio-diesel and about 7 other fuels. Strong running eng. that has had some new eng. parts added. I'm told it had a new head gasket as well as other eng. parts. Has good 5 spd. clutch. Ext. color is white which is great for commercial use. Shocks/struts are fine. This truck has been my baby, daily driver and a WORK HORSE. Always good to me. She's never left me stranded. This VW truck is the LX model so it has the nice sliding glass rear window, wood look dash, and A/C. Body is super straight. This is a real original car. Paint is still real shiny. Nice chrome American Racing Rims, that make it look real sporty much better looking then the plain jane stock hubs on these or even worse the ones w/ no hubs at all. Name brand tires, good brakes, newer batt., struts/shocks are solid and work fine. Has the VW slotted grill rather than the honey comb grill, giving it a better look. Just had oil/oil filter/fuel filter changed, rescent front end alignment and 4 wheel balance (for normal maintance purposes). I have all recipts for this work. Mech. recently stated all brakes/rotors are real good, along w/ the hoses, tires etc. Gets about 50 MPG. Parts are cheap and eng. will run FOREVER and are known to go over 500k if maintained. CLEAN TITLE registered until 01/09. You won't find a cleaner VW truck in this price range. Reserve is around $5,000. E-mail and leave number if you want to make an offer (prefered) of that or more. Truck has a crack in middle of windshield (very common) its not in the field of view. You can leave it be or replacements from any Rabbit are about $50. Int. is pretty nice dash has a few minor cracks (super common), door panels and window rubber are really nice, they were most likely replaced by last owner, carpet is pretty nice. Stiching on seats is a little un-done on the bottom area of both seats it doesn't look bad. Not even noticable in pics so obviously not too bad, no cracks on seats and springs are still firm. A/C blows but not super cold prob. needs re-charge? Min. rust. Has a few surface spots here and there NO rot. Always a Ca. car. I've never had it in the snow or cold. I have descibed the truck the best I can I am not a mech nor am I an expert on these trucks of any sort. So please know that if I have missed anything its not on purpose. NOT A TURBO. Please don't ask ques. that have been addressed here. Wired $ is best and this is what I prefer. Out of state bidders must arrange transport. THANK YOU!!!!

Rims are a nice looking up-grade and give the truck a more sporty look. They are like a $400 up-grade. Tires are very new and are about $300 for the set. Please factor this in. Thanks!
