Vehicle Description
This '69 FASTBACK is in wonderful condition. It still has the FUEL INJECTION. The automatic transmission have been completely overhauled, and the brake system has been redone. The interior is in excellent condition. It has a new headliner and the original Sapphire XI am radio. The exterior could use a bit of work, but still gets lots of looks and compliments. There are a couple of the typical areas of rust. The rear fender area on the passenger side was damaged by the prior owners, trailering it. Someone in the past had done some body work to the vehicle, and has been painted. The prior 2 owners claimed to have stored it indoors. I have keep it garaged since purchasing it over a year ago. It is a daily driver and gets close to 30 mpg in the city. I have placed a reserve on the car because of the very expensive repair costs to the automatic transmission.
Keep in mind, if you are the winning bid on this car, it CANNOT BE TOWED. It must be trailered, hauled, or on a car dolly backwards, because of the automatic transmisssion. It can only be towed, if the transmission is disconnected. The winning bidder must make and pay for all those type of arrangements.
Longboat Key is due west of Sarasota/Bradenton and just south of Tampa/St. Pete.
