Hello,
I bought this a while back as a running and driving project. This buggy is loads of fun. I always get looks and thumbs up when driving around in this. The engine is a volkswagen 1600cc I believe. It seems to run very well. It has always started for me. The buggy drives pretty well, but will require some work. It runs and drives fine, but the front tires are dry rotted. The back tires seem okay, but the passenger side wheel is bent and causes a little wobble as you drive down the road. The car is a bright yellow and was originally blue. The paint looks ok, but is not great. There are some small areas where the body has flaws. They are strictly cosmetic. The floor was replaced at some point and is solid. This is a bare bones interior with no radio. The buggy does have turn signals, headlights, tail lights, turn signals, and mirrors. It has seat belts in the front, but needs them in the rear, I have a used set I will include that needs to be installed. It has a roll bar and it is solid. The windshield chrome shows some pitting. The car goes through the gears just fine and the clutch seems good too.
This is a ton of summer fun. The only thing this buggy needs is someone with a little more time to fix it up a little. This is the first VW I have ever owned and I cannot believe how reliable and easy to start the engine is. I have a feeling that I will regret letting this go, but I just don't have time for it. Email with any questions. The dune buggy is being listed with no reserve. I do reserve the right to end the auction early as I have it listed locally for sale.
