White Volvo 240 Diesel station wagon in very good shape. Recently purchased from a local gentleman who brought it out from Texas about a year ago. He did quite a bit of work on it, including putting in a block from a lower mileage vehicle (180,000), rebuilt injector pump, new head, air conditioning conversion, and car seat covers. We installed 100 square feet of sound deadening material (Fat Mat), a new CD player, rear overhead speakers and upgraded the front speakers. Vehicle has power locks and windows, a third rear-facing seat, block heater, original (?) floor mats and a manual transmission. Has cruise control but doesn't seem to work.
No known rust, runs smooth, starts right up - even after sitting for a while. Exterior is in good shape, interior is clean and comfortable.
Vehicle was repainted to factory color. There are a few chips in the windshield and a small crack line in the upper driver's side corner. There is a minor fist-sized dent on the left front quarter.
Since our purchase in late February, we have found out that the third seat is unsafe for occupants in the event of a rollover. We were planning on putting our kids back there, so needless to say, the car is no longer a viable option for 7 passengers.
We are sad to let this Volvo go, we were planning on converting it to Veggie Oil. Its a solid vehicle, runs great, and has lots of room. Also comes with many spare parts and original owner's manual. Licensed in California (no smog needed) until March 09.
It is for sale locally, so the auction may end at any time. Vehicle is sold as is. $500 deposit due within 48 hours of auction ending.
