1996 Volvo 850 Turbo Wagon
General Vehicle Description
This 1996 850 Turbo Wagon was traded in with 137k miles. This car had been regularly serviced by the Volvo Dealership that originally sold it in 1996. There are 20 service stamps by the Volvo service department in the maintenance records book, which include the complete timing belt replacement service. The Carfax Vehicle Report is clean without any sort of negative history. We looked over and drove this Volvo and I’ll tell you everything I know about this car:
The 2.3L engine in this Volvo is a very strong and smooth running engine. The engine does not smoke or make any noises. The transmission shifts very nicely. I don’t see any leaks under this car. The suspension and steering feels tight and solid, and the exhaust system is quiet. The tires were installed by the owner and all are showing most of their tread. The front and rear brake pads appear to have been replaced within the past few months and are all in excellent condition. The oil and filter and the air filter were changed this week. This Volvo runs and drives extremely well on both the highway and around town.
I was able to verify the proper operation of all of the power windows, door locks, mirrors, seats, sunroof, and stereo. The air conditioning is cold, the heater works well.
The exterior of this 850 looks beautiful. The Pearl White Platinum paint is glossy and brilliant over the entire body. The body is in extremely good condition with nothing other than some tiny stone nicks. There aren’t any dents, scratches or even any noticeable door dings. There isn’t any body rust/corrosion at all, and the undercarriage is also very clean. Both bumpers are in great condition without any parking lots scratches or scrapes. There aren’t any windshield chips. The alloy wheels are very clean.
The interior of this Volvo is very clean and in terrific condition. The seats (mainly the driver seat) show the characteristic surface cracking that typically occurs after a number of years, but there aren’t any holes or damage on any of the seats. The carpeting is super clean and in excellent condition throughout this car, even in the driver side footwell. All interior trim parts are intact, tight and in excellent condition. The trunk is very clean and looks like it wasn’t used much. This was a non-smoker owned vehicle, and there aren’t any odors inside this car.
This 850 appears to have been well maintained and should make a very reliable vehicle. I would feel comfortable jumping in and driving this Volvo anywhere, and I would expect this car to provide excellent service for many years to come.

The vehicle description above reflects our assessment of this vehicle based on our inspection, test driving experience, and/or any services we have completed. Because this is a used vehicle and the description is our opinion of such, we offer Money-Back Insurance on the purchase of this vehicle. The purpose of this policy is to allow the buyer to drive, inspect and become comfortable with this vehicle purchase, with the right to return this vehicle for any reason within three days of receipt or delivery for a full 100% refund of the purchase price. Long distance purchasers may be given extra time after this period to return the vehicle. Purchasers having this vehicle shipped via transporter must inform us of their intention to return within three days of receipt of the vehicle. This guarantee begins when the vehicle is actually and physically received by the purchaser.
The premium value of this guarantee insurance is $350. However, we offer this coverage at NO COST to the buyer as long as this vehicle is paid in full according to the auction payment terms. We also ask buyers to leave feedback by the end of the guarantee period. Your positive feedback is a small token of appreciation for our efforts to provide a quality product.
It is with our best efforts that we have properly and objectively described the condition of our vehicles, and our goal is your complete satisfaction. If a purchaser is not completely satisfied for any reason, a full-uncontested refund will be issued if the vehicle is returned under this insurance policy.
PAYMENT
A deposit of twenty percent (20%) shall be due within three days of auction completion. (If a Buy-It-Now option is offered, we will accept a $500 deposit through Paypal in lieu of the 20% down payment). The balance is due within seven days. The only acceptable methods of payment are Bank Money Order, Bank or Certified Check, Finance Company Loan Check, Bank Wire Transfer or Cash (in person). We do not accept trade-ins. Pickup of the vehicle is to take place within ten days of auction completion. We do not offer financing.
WARRANTY
The title is guaranteed to be Free and Clear of liens or encumbrances. The stated odometer reading is guaranteed accurate within +/- 500 miles.
This vehicle will be sold AS-IS with No Warranty expressed or implied by the seller. However, the buyer will be offered the option to purchase an additional Extended Service Warranty for any applicable vehicles.

If you are traveling here via Public Transportation, we will coordinate pickup and bring you directly to our location from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), the Amtrak 30th Street Train Station, or the Philadelphia Greyhound Bus Station. If you would like to be picked up from any of these locations, please be sure to plan your arrival time for no later than 3PM. We are approximately 15 – 20 minutes from any of these points, and we will pick you up in your new vehicle.
Our business hours are weekdays only from 9AM to 5PM and we are closed on weekends. However, for those wishing to pickup vehicles on a Saturday (before 1PM), we can often arrange to have someone come in to handle your transaction for an additional fee of $50. Please check with us for availability of a specific pickup time.

REGISTRATION, TITLE FEES
Out of state purchasers do not pay any Pennsylvania sales tax. A $60 fee will be added to the final sale price of each online transaction, which will cover all document fees and preparation, notarizations, and FedEx or expedited courier costs.
Temporary Transit Tags are available through the state of PA for $35, which will provide valid registration for a period of 30 days. In order to obtain this tag, we must be provided with proof of insurance for any vehicle that you presently own.
The Title is available to the buyer upon receipt of full payment if the three day insurance is waived. Otherwise, the title will be sent to you at the end of the guarantee period after fulfillment of all guarantee policy requirements. The Title is guaranteed to be clear of any liens or encumbrances.
ADDITIONAL POLICIES (Please Read All Terms)
Occasionally, eBay has experienced a site outage, which is a problem that interferes with, or prevents auction bidding. These problems are typically posted on the eBay "Announcements" page. If this auction should reach completion under an outage, experience any outage during the final ten hours of completion, or experience any other technical difficulties which make some or all of the auction page inaccessible to anyone, it is agreed that the seller retains the option to void this contract, and not sell this vehicle to the highest bidder.
All of our vehicles that are sold on eBay are stored inside our warehouse facility. Because we have limited storage space, we require that all vehicles be picked up within ten days of auction completion. If requested during the auction, we can often allow a few extra days for pickup if needed. Otherwise, storage charges after ten days will be charged at $15/day. If a vehicle is not picked up within ten days of auction completion and is returned under the guarantee, it will be subject to this storage fee.
We do not accept any trade-ins. We reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time.
FOREIGN NATIONAL BIDDERS POLICY
Bidding is electronically limited to allow only US registered members. This is due to our experience with foreign bidders (mainly Canadian) who chose not to complete the transaction, despite assurances to the contrary.
We will allow foreign national bidders to participate in the auction after placing a $500 deposit on Paypal. This deposit will be immediately refunded if you are not the auction winner. The deposit will not be refunded if you are incapable of completing the transaction. Send us an email requesting a Paypal invoice with your ebay user name, and indicate which vehicle you are interested in bidding on.
All required exportation paperwork, and all vehicle transportation arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. Vehicles that are not picked up within ten days of auction completion are subject to storage fees. There are no exceptions to the foreign bidder policy.
VEHICLE DEALERSHIP BIDDERS POLICY
We do not sell to other automobile dealers through our internet auctions. Auto dealers may purchase this vehicle only at the buy it now price if it is offered, and will purchase this vehicle as-is with no warranty. The unconditional guarantee insurance is not offered to auto dealers. We will not assign a title to an automobile dealership, unless pre-approved before the sale. Auto dealerships will also pay an additional $477 doc fee. There are no exceptions to this policy.
LEGAL TERMS
As per the eBay User Agreement and the terms of this auction, a successful, winning auction bid forms a legal and binding contract between the buyer and seller.
It is agreed that a court of competent jurisdiction in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania will adjudicate all claims pertaining to this contract. The buyer agrees to waive his or her right to litigation pertaining to this contract in any other municipality or legal venue. The seller is also entitled to recover from the contract purchaser, any fees, legal expenses, storage charges or other costs that are incurred as a result of a contract default by a purchaser.
Placement of a bid on this auction indicates that the bidder has read and understands all of the terms of this auction, and constitutes voluntary acceptance of all terms and policies stated above and within this contract agreement.
