Sorry for the delay. Forgot about the holiday! My loss YOUR gain! Think about it....someone paid $25k+ for this car when new! You'll be paying a fraction of that and get SOOO MUCH MORE than those other "beaters" out there! A typical car payment is at LEAST $300 a month. $3600 a year...and you DO NOT OWN IT! Clean S70 Base Model for a beater? OK! Think about the cheap insurance! Nicest car for the money, period. Safe quality transportation. But I don't need to sell it to you. You knew all that stuff already. Tis why you are looking at a Volvo today!
Crunchtime! I'm going to keep this short and simple. Read my excellent feedbacks and KNOW that I cover/disclose anything and everything. Here's ANOTHER great Late Model S70 Base Sedan! I've personally driven it for a few days to ensure its reliability. Quiet motor. Perfectly shifting transmission. Smooth ride with no vibrations. Everything works as far as I can tell including the COLD Air Condtioning (I think it may need a little freon added tho)!! All the necessary power items work with nothing to worry about. Bid, Buy, and Drive ANYWHERE with 100% confidence! Gas goes up and up. Volvos run on 87 octane all day long and get 25-30mpg on a bad day. Parts are cheap and can be bought over the counter anywhere! Why overpay for a stripped down/no option rusty Honda or Hyundai with crank windows when a Volvo is the superior car? Setting the standard in safety and reliability from day one. Don't miss out on this one...again.
The exterior of the car looks to have been repainted at some point. I'd say it makes the body an 8 out of 10 in the appearance department. The paint shines nicely but there is a little overspray on the fender below and the front and rear bumper covers have some typical nicks and scratches. Of course some dings and rock chips, like on the hood, etc. Honestly, I'd simply have your favorite trusted detailer buff the entire car for that perfect look! Or just leave it....still looks great!
Tires are darn near new at all the corners on vibration free rims. Easily 85% left. No noises. No worries at highway speeds. No pulling. Smooth. Buy this car for it's mechanical integrity and drive worry-free. Not for the car show. Not seen is the one hubcap missing. I'll try to hunt one down but plan on having to find one as I was having trouble finding one locally for the 98 up models (97 older 850s were different).
Above you can see a little dent. Of course after 10 years on the road, there will be a few dings as well as my pics give you views down every panel to see. Typical for its age and mileage.
If you look hard enough, you can see a few dings on the front passenger door.
The interior is absolutely gorgeous! Cloth Volvo interiors hold up very well! A little portion of the driver's seat bottom seam is separating, but no other rips, tears, or cuts. Dual climate control with AM/FM/CD player...even has HEATED SEATS!!! No power driver's seat. Not sure why it posted that, but it was automatically plugged in and I couldn't change it thru eBay. Also, the previous owner setup a neat anti-theft device....put the key in the ignition to the ON position and push the "REAR DEFROST/Heated Mirrors" button. Then you can turn the ignition to start the car! Takes 2 seconds to do. Simple. Effective.
Sorry...missing the driver's floormat. Others are clean as you can see. Complete spare setup is intact and ready for your trip home!
Brnad New Interstate Battery! Most of the necessary factory manuals, only one key, sorry no sign of when the timing belt was replaced but I inspected it and it looks fine. $53 over the counter for the belt from Volvo.
Bid, Buy, Drive this car anywhere! Cheap insurance. Great Gas Mileage (typically 25-30MPG with these cars). Looks great. No worries. Trusted Ebay Seller. Justlikenew! Inspect my feedbacks and be another satisfied buyer!

Venue of sale is in Will County, Illinois, 60433. Illinois buyers ( a few other states-see below) are responsible for 7% sales tax, $78 plates or $15 transfer and $65 title fee. Otherwise you get the Bill-of-Sale (along with a rider), the title, the keys and you are on your way. In some VERY RARE cases, due to the title re-assignment area being full, or title stuck "in process" at the DMV, the title will be sent to you next day service upon receipt. I DO NOT hide any little "just because I have to recoupe some of my money" charges here at the bottom, just the standard dealer $99 doc fee. I will happily pick you up from Midway (MDW) Chicago, for a gas fee, or the Joliet Train Station (Amtak/Metra) free of charge. O'hare is an option to be used as a LAST RESORT only, and I WILL have to charge for pickup due to high gas prices and wonderful tolls and time. I will also assist in offering you a shipping service if needed. I've used a few with outstanding results, and with these gas prices, worth every penny!
State Sales tax listings are as follows:
Arizona-5%, California-6.25%, Florida-6%, Hawaii-4%, Illinois-7%, Indiana-6%, Massachusetts-5%, Michigan-6%, South Carolina-5% to a maximum of $300, Vermont-6%. Sorry, I don't like it either, but it HAS to be done. You will get paperwork showing tax payment to give to your respective DMV and will either get a credit toward or NOT have to pay your sales tax on the sale amount.
I NEED to add this as well: AS-IS/AS-SHOWN means EXACTLY THAT! It does NOT mean, you get to buy the item, use it for a day/week/month, or let someone borrow the item, or let your teenager beat the heck out of it, then call me with a repair bill. I don't get those kinds of calls, I'm only covering my bases here. Remember you are buying a USED item, NOT new. Sometimes over 10 years old and sometimes with high miles. AGAIN, not new, used. I sell to you knowing you may live in California or in Ohio. I feel it secure to drive anywhere. ANYTHING can happen, even with a NEW item. I don't sell junk. If you don't trust my opinions/feedbacks or if you feel the need to get a second opinion, I understand. You won't hurt my feelings if you want to send someone out to check out the item, by all means DO! I have nothing to hide. Just rememeber to get it inspected within the eBay auction period, which is usually 3-5 days start to finish. Once you seal the deal and leave with or have the item shipped, it's yours. That said, please trust my opinion as others have, happily. If the item is too crappy or not something I would let my girlfriend or mom own or drive, I pass on it.
