Vehicle Description This is a 1948 Willys CJ2A. I have restored this Jeep my self over a four year period. It isn’t perfect but is quite presentable. It has a current New York State registration. I have tried to keep the Jeep as original as possible. It is still 6 volt. As you will see from the photos the spare is on the left side. Exactly how many were made this way is not know (as far as I know). The number I have seen is that somewhere around 10,000 left hand spare 2As were made. As far as I can tell this was a true lefty. There are too many new parts to list. I have receipts for almost everything. Basically everything was restored, repaired or replaced with exception of the transmission, transfer case and axels. Rebuilt or replaced: The L134 Engine was rebuilt last year. There is 70 miles on the rebuild. Brakes and Brake Cylinders. Steering Bell Crank bearings and pin. New cloth covered wiring harness. New front floor and hat channels. Much new sheet metal in the tub. Clutch Too many items to list everything. Misc. Information: NDT Tires 15/700, like new The spare is a used 16/600 Divers side wiper is a 6 volt period electric wiper; the passenger side wiper is a hand wiper. The battery is larger than the stock battery was so I built the hold down. The battery retainer strap is also not original due to the larger battery. I have the original strap and an old (rough) hold down. These are both included with the sale. The jeep is set up as it came from the factory no blinkers and only a left side stop light and right side reflector. The wiring kit included the wire for a right side light and I have a blinker switch assembly that are also included in the sale of the Jeep. I have the original draw bar but I did not install it. This is included with the sale of the Jeep. Also included is a new (uninstalled) transmission gasket set. It has DualMatic lock out hubs. This Jeep was originally had a keyed coil. It now has a regular coil but the keyed coil bracket is still on the Jeep. Flaws: Some of the internal welds aren’t pretty. There are a few runs in the paint. As I said, I did not rebuild the transmission and transfer case. Like most of these old Jeeps, they leak. Also like many of these old Jeeps, it will sometimes pop out of second gear. There is a small chip in the passenger side windshield There are no top or top bows. This Jeep runs good and is being sold as is. There are no guarantees or warranty. Vehicles of this age do not require a title in New York the registration will transfer ownership. I am listing this for 10 days to give anyone who may want to look time to get here. I would encourage you to come and inspect the Jeep. I will answer any questions as soon as possible. I will likely only be able to get to my Emails in the evening. I can not deliver or meet half way, pick up only. I will help load. I accept cash, money order or personal check after it clears.
