Vehicle Description
I am selling my driver. Starts easy and drives pretty good. This is a complete, returned to original truck with a super hurricane 226 6 cylinder, 3 speed manual with OVERDRIVE. It is sitting on a new set of Michelin 215-85-16 tires. New "willys america" wiring harness, motor and trans mounts, water pump, fuel pump, carb kit, tune up, radiator was rodded out, fuel tank clean, tail lamp lenses are new, front and rear brakes new, drums resurfaced.
I bought it about two years ago with a poorly installed 283 engine. I bought a donor jeep and returned the original 226 to it, added the overdrive, and got it in descent driveable condition.
Body is in my opinion very straight, with just one small rust hole behind the passenger door, the bottom of the tailgate, and the floorpans. I get comments all the time that I should not paint it, and leave the original finish on it, but I was probably going to paint it if I had kept it.
It is legal with a Texas antique tag, and I have put about 1300 miles on it as is. That being said, It uses oil, and does get loud as you approach top speed. Nothing alarming, just the old jeep at high speed. It is tired and needs to be freshened up
I have a ton of money in this truck, and have most of the receipts. I have a reserve at least $1000 below my investment. to give you an idea the harness $300, Overdrive $800, Tires $600, exhaust $150, + much more. It adds up fast.
I have tons of other parts including NOS Engine parts, perfect front fenders, bumpers, original matching 15 inch wheels with brand new mastercraft traction tires. But I HAVE TO SELL THEM SEPARATE of the jeep.
I highly advise that you see this vehicle with your eyes before bidding, and it is being sold as is, where is. Bryan 512-417-9645

I have added some more pictures. 1 of the engine compartment, 1 of the dash, 1 of the box of misc parts including the v8 adapter I removed, original gauge set, a couple of parts distributors, some crude linkage for the v8 adapter, a 2nd radiator shroud, correct air filter, junk grille, descent closer to original hood, some good and some not so good stainless, and the 54 (very rough) parts wagon.
I have taken a picture of the original wheels and new Mastercraft tires. I will throw them in for an extra $250, or you can choose either set of wheels/tires. The original 15's look better with the original paint on them. Also I will sell the extra front fenders for $200 to the high bidder, The Bumpers for $150. I also have NOS valves, cam bearings, some rotators, rings, and a few other items in a box that I would need $150 for.
Some more details on condition... Body is pretty straight on the outside. The front fenders are beat up pretty bad at the very bottoms near the cab. Also the cab corners have some small holes that are in need of attention. Floor pans on drivers and passenger sides are also in need of help, not terrible, but have holes. And the tailgate bottom is rusty, not through rust, but it is structurally weakened. And the rear floor near the tailgate will need replacement.
I hope this helps you decide on the Jeep. And If you need some real detail feel free to call in the evenings at 830-833-1169. I will try to answer all of your questions.

Sorry for all of the revisions folks. Forgot to mention that all electrical is working, including signals. The temp gauge goes hot almost immediately, but the motor is running at 160 degrees. The sender, harness, and gauges are new so my only guess is that it needs a resistor or voltage reducer in line. The warn hubs are stuck engaged on it, but I think they will free up with some elbow grease and penetrating lube. I also have an international scout chassis set with dana 44 354 posi axles. $150 to the high bidder for the scout frame if interested.
ALSO BRONCOSURFER66 YOUR E-MAIL IS NOT WORKING. I keep getting a failure notice. If you need info, and I do not respond to e-mail, call the second # in the evening. Thanks, Bryan
